A multicultural collaboration is between two or more groups or organizations, each comprised of members from different cultural backgrounds and orientations (e.g., Latino, Native American Indian, white) or with goals or missions oriented to populations with differing cultures (e.g., African-American, Asian-American). In addition, in high Gender Egalitarian cultures, females and males have similar levels of education and literacy. The cultural convergence theory sees globalization as a process that leads to cultures becoming more alike, dominant groups and societies in the world being considered to have an important role to play in this tendency towards sameness. Traditional and modern culture function similarly because both are ways of thinking, ways of relating to people and to the universe. The world has become very connected with the rapid emergence of technology, such that cultures have blended more than at any other time in human history. Technology has radically changed the way we relate to each other and to our world. People learn and share things over the course of generations, and so we say they are a culture.
